NEW ORLEANS - Old Dominion’s fourth year goalkeeper, Ellie Goodrich, has been named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week after securing a shutout in ODU’s 1-0 win over ULM last Friday night, the conference announced on Tuesday.
ODU took a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute with a game-winning goal by Reese Kulha thanks to an assist by Alaina Subong. Goodrich played a full 90 minutes in goal and did not allow a single shot to get past her to record her second clean sheet of the season. The Warhawks managed on shot in the 90 minutes of action and it was not on target.
Goodrich has played six games in goal and made four starts. She has made 13 saves and has a save percentage of 72.2%. Goodrich started in goal for ODU’s 3-0 win over Longwood and last week’s 1-0 win over ULM.
