NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men's golf continues its fall season at the Florida Atlantic Invitational this Monday and Tuesday in Jupiter, Florida.
The Owls are hosting the two-day tournament at The Bear’s Club, which features a par of 72 and is 7,300 yards in length. Monday will have 36 holes of continuous play with the final 18 holes to be played on Tuesday. Both days will begin with 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts and live stats will be available on Scoreboard by Clippd.
This year’s Invitational will have a field of 11 teams. In addition to ODU and the host Owls will be lineups from Campbell, Central Florida, DePaul, Florida A&M, Lipscomb, Louisiana Tech, North Florida, South Florida, and Stetson. Additionally, Florida will have four golfers competing as individuals.
For the Monarchs, the lineup will consist of Joe MacPherson, Roman Roth, Quin Covington, Jakub Sutor, and Heath Sutor. The Silver and Blue started off their fall campaign by tying for fifth place at the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Sept. 6-8 in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. MacPherson, a third year from Aberlady, Scotland, was ODU’s top performer as he tied for 17th with a two-under par 214.
Old Dominion will be playing alongside Florida A&M and Louisiana Tech for the first day of competition. Monday’s pairings will see the Monarchs teeing off from holes nine through 12.
