NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion women’s soccer travels to Monroe, Louisiana for the first game of Sun Belt Conference action. The Monarchs face the Warhawks on Friday, September 18 at 8 p.m.
ODU’s game on Friday against ULM will be streamed to ESPN+ and live stats will be available.
LAST MEETING:
ODU fell to the Warhawks in last season's Sun Belt Conference Championship Semifinals, 3-2 in Foley, Alabama at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex. ULM sprung out to a 3-0 lead in the first 30 minutes thanks to a Skylar Blaise brace and an own goal committed by the Monarchs. ODU responded in the 70th minute with a goal from Hannah Morgan and got a second late on from Ashley Economopoulos. But, ODU didn’t have enough time to find another goal and ULM advanced to the final.
ABOUT ODU:
The Silver and Blue are 2-5 through seven games played and are 1-1 in their last two games. ODU defeated Power Four opponent Maryland, 2-0 in College Park but then fell to Liberty, 2-1 in Lynchburg, Virginia. Head coach Will Roberts is in his first season at Old Dominion after spending the last three as head coach at ULM.
ODU has scored nine goals and conceded nine for a +0-goal differential through seven games. The Monarchs average 9.4 shots per game and have a 50% shot on goal percentage. Old Dominion has a 1.29 goals against average and has kept two shutouts, both metrics rank fifth in the Sun Belt.
Hannah Morgan has scored four goals in seven appearances for eight points. Her four goals are tied for sixth in the SBC, she averages 0.57 goals per game and 1.14 points per game which is good for sixth and seventh, respectively. The Mullica Hill, New Jersey native’s eight points is tied for 10th in the conference.
Riley Mullen has provided three assists in six games played. Her 0.50 assists per game is tied for top marks in the conference and her three assists are tied for third.
Ellie Goodrich and Emily Earles have both split time in net for the Silver and Blue this season. Goodrich has played in five games, made 13 saves, and kept one shutout while having a save percentage of 72%. Earles have started four games, made seven saves, and kept one clean sheet. The native of Raleigh, North Carolina has a save percentage of 64%.
ABOUT ULM:
The Warhawks are 1-4 in their last five games played and are coming off back-to-back losses against UAB (2-1) and at Rice (3-0). ULM defeated Stephen F. Austin, 2-0 at Brown Stadium in Monroe, Louisiana on September 3, 2026. ULM hired Antony Blackburn on January 17, 2026 after he spent the past three seasons with LSU soccer.
ULM averages 1.67 goals per game and takes an average of 10.8 shots per game. The Warhawks have a 51.5% shot on target percentage and have conceded 58 shots on target this season.
Charli Harris leads ULM with seven points from two goals and three assists. Amy Sharkey ranks second on the team with six points from three goals and Ines de Lope Casanova has four points from two goals to rank third. ULM has registered 10 different goalscorers and 13 different point-getters.
Jen Handy has started nine games in goal for the Warhawks, she has made 42 saves in 781:35 minutes in net. Handy has kept one clean sheet and has a save percentage of 78% and a goals against average of 1.38.
