NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Football opens fall camp for the 2026 season today in preparation for the season opener set for Saturday, Sept. 5 against Norfolk State. ODU plays the Spartans for the first time since the 2019 season opener, a 24-21 win in the first game at Kornblau Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.
The Monarchs are coming off a 10-3 campaign in 2025 that saw ODU finish the season on a six-game winning streak, including a 24-10 win over South Florida in the StaffDNA Cure Bowl.
ODU was picked to finish in second place in the Sun Belt by the media and the league’s head coaches, while Devin Roche, Chris Forbes, Mario Easterly and Zion Frink were selected to the Sun Belt Preseason All-Conference Team.
