NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion women’s rowing head coach Brian Conley announced that Allie Alton has joined his staff as an assistant coach.
“I am thrilled to welcome Allie to the Monarch boathouse,” said Conley. “Allie’s experience at the highest levels of our sport are going to be invaluable to the growth of our team. When Allie was at Texas, she was known to be a good leader and an outstanding teammate that just wanted to make any boat she was in go fast. She will make a good impact on the team and culture that we are building.”
Alton graduated from Texas and competed in one of the nation’s premier NCAA Division I rowing programs. She competed in four NCAA National Championships with the Longhorns and represented the United States at the U23 World Rowing Championship.
Alton graduated with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology in applied movement and served as a strength and conditioning assistant during her time in Austin, Texas. She also worked as a summer rowing volunteer coach for two years.
