NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Old Dominion linebacker Koa Naotala has been announced as ODU’s nominee for the Allstate Good Works Team, the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced on Monday.

Allstate and AFCA named 162 student-athletes as nominees for the 2026 Good Works Team, recognizing college football players who lead through community service, academics and athletics.

A native of Newport News, Naotala missed all but one game last season due to injury, but in 2024 led ODU with 88 tackles and earned second team All-Sun Belt Conference honors.

Naotala has recorded more than 100 hours of community service in his ODU career, working with numerous organizations, including the Ronald McDonald House, Monarchs Give Back and working with local schools.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team recognizes college football student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, academics and athletics. Established in 1992 and presented by Allstate since 2008, the program honors players who use their platforms to strengthen communities and support causes important to them.
