NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men's tennis was named an ITA All-Academic Team for 2026, while Adam Majchrzak, Felix Obermair, Piet Steveker and Aryan Saleh were individually recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced on Monday.

"I think these awards show the holistic approach of our program in being successful on the court, in the classroom, and within the community," said head coach Dominik Mueller. "It also shows how many people behind the scenes are responsible for our success. Our academic advisor, Grace Chavez, does a phenomenal job preparing our players for the academic challenges student-athletes encounter,” added Mueller. 

Steveker earned the honor while majoring in finance and posting a perfect 4.0 GPA. He was named the Sun Belt Conference Newcomer of the Year and finished the season with a 21-8 singles record and an 18-9 doubles mark.

Saleh was recognized while majoring in sport management with a 3.5 GPA. He compiled a 20-6 singles record and a 5-4 doubles record.

Obermair earned the honor while majoring in manufacturing engineering technology with a 3.75 GPA. He finished the season with a 13-13 singles record and a 15-12 mark in doubles.

Majchrzak was recognized while majoring in sport management with a 3.5 GPA. He posted a 19-9 record in singles and a 12-13 doubles record, competing exclusively at the No. 1 position in both. He was named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and earned First Team All-Sun Belt honors in both singles and doubles.

The team earned a 3.18 cumulative GPA while finishing the season with a 20-7 record and capturing its fourth straight conference championship.
