NORFOLK, Va. No. 51 Old Dominion University men’s tennis will take on No. 43 Miami (Fl) in the ITA Kickoff Weekend on Jan. 22-24 at the NCAA 2026 Champion University of Virginia. Following the match against Miami (Fl), ODU will face either No. 1 Virginia or No. 67 ETSU in its second match.

The Hurricanes finished last season with a 14-11 record and four wins over ranked opponents.

The Monarchs clinched their fourth Sun Belt Championship after defeating Troy, 4-1, for the title. ODU then advanced to the NCAA Tournament and earned its first NCAA Tournament victory since 2007 with a 4-0 win over Gardner-Webb.

“We are excited to be back at the National Indoor Kickoff weekend,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “It consists of the best 56 teams from the previous season so you gotta earn your spot. I’m excited we can make it a short trip to Charlottesville and play a quality ACC opponent early in the season with Miami” added Mueller.
