NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women’s golfer Barbara Car has received yet another honor as the sophomore was named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team, which was selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances both in competition and in the classroom. The program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must have a minimum GPA of 3.50, must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically, must be enrolled in their institution or a recent graduate during the current academic year, and must meet participation requirements based on their specific sport (i.e. competed in 75% of events that counted the team score for golf or be in the lineup at the conference championship tournament).

Car was the individual medalist at this year’s Sun Belt Conference Championship and competed in the Louisville Regional, where she tied for 38th with a five-over par 221. The Vodice, Slovenia native was voted to the All-Sun Belt First Team and led the Monarchs with a 72.13 stroke average for 2025-26, posting nine Top 25 finishes with six Top 10 performances. In the classroom, the sport management major earned a 3.81 GPA for the spring semester, and she owns a 3.77 cumulative GPA.
