NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion women’s soccer hosts Duke on Thursday, August 27 to highlight seven home contests at the ODU Soccer Stadium, as ODU head coach Will Roberts announced the Monarchs’ 2026 schedule.
“We’ve built a schedule that will challenge us from the very beginning,” said ODU head coach Will Roberts. “When you look at the non-conference opponents, there are teams that have consistently competed at the top of their conferences and on the national stage. Those are the types of games we want because they push our players, reveal who we are, and prepare us for conference play.”
Old Dominion women’s soccer hosts two home exhibitions before beginning their 2026 season on the road in Blacksburg, Virginia against Virginia Tech on Thursday, August 13 at 6 p.m.. The Monarchs take on Hampton at the ODU Soccer Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. and will have the Blue and White game on Sunday, August 9 at 6 p.m.
The Monarchs’ first official home game will be played on Sunday, August 16 at 6 p.m. against Longwood. ODU will then be on the road for two-straight games, starting with UNCW on Thursday, August 20 at 6 p.m. and then facing Wake Forest on Sunday, August 23 at 1 p.m.
ODU returns back to Norfolk for a matchup with the Duke Blue Devils on Thursday, August 27 at 6 p.m. The Blue Devils made it to the 2025 NCAA Tournament Semifinals before falling to Stanford, 1-0.
The Monarchs will be back in action on Thursday, September 3 when ODU heads to College Park to meet Maryland for a 7 p.m. kick off. Old Dominion defeated the Terrapins last season, 2-0, thanks to goals by Gry Boe Thrysoe and Ashlynn Kulha and held the visitors to only one attempted shot on the night.
The Silver and Blue will return after a 10-day break to face Liberty in the final non-conference game of the season at 1 p.m. in Lynchburg, Virginia. ODU will seek revenge after falling to the Flames last season after a late goal by Ivy Garner gave Liberty a 1-0 win.
“The Sun Belt is one of the deepest leagues in the country, and every match will demand our full focus and best performance,” said Roberts. “There are tough road trips, quality opponents throughout the league, and very little margin for error.”
Old Dominion begins Sun Belt Conference action on Friday, September 18 against Coach Roberts’ former team as ODU heads to Monroe, Louisiana for a matchup with ULM at 8 p.m.. Old Dominion faced the Warhawks once last season in the Sun Belt Championship Semifinals but lost, 3-2.
ODU takes on Louisiana on Thursday, September 24 at the ODU Soccer Stadium. The last time the Monarchs faced the Ragin’ Cajuns was in Lafayette, Louisiana as the Monarchs fell 2-1. Koto Davis scored the lone Monarchs goal on the night but goals from ULL in the 20th and 64th minute were too much to overcome.
The Silver and Blue heads to Boone, North Carolina on Sunday, September 27 to take on App State at 1 p.m. The Monarchs and Mountaineers played out a 1-1 draw last season in Norfolk, Virginia.
Old Dominion has back-to-back home fixtures against South Alabama and Marshall. The Monarchs face USA on Saturday, October 3 at 6 p.m. and then will meet the Thundering Herd on Thursday, October 8 at 6 p.m. ODU last met the Jaguars on October 4, 2024 and secured a 1-0 win in Mobile, Alabama. ODU traveled to Huntington, West Virginia last season on October 5 but neither side could find a goal in a scoreless draw.
ODU faces JMU in the TowneBank Royal Rivalry on Sunday, October 11 at JMU at 6 p.m. in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The Monarchs secured a 1-0 victory over the Dukes last season after Kulha scored in the ninth minute of action to take control of the game.
The Monarchs will be back at the ODU Soccer Stadium on Sunday, October 18 to take on Georgia Southern at 1 p.m. Old Dominion faced the Eagles on October 11 last season in Statesboro and came back to Norfolk with a 2-1 win.
ODU will travel to LA Tech for the first Sun Belt matchup between the two programs on Thursday, October 22 at 8 p.m. The two sides have faced off eight times in their respective Conference USA pasts and last saw each other in 2019 where the Bulldogs came away with a 2-1 victory.
The Monarchs’ final home game and senior day will be held on Sunday, October 25 when ODU welcomes the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers for a 1 p.m. kickoff. Last season, the Monarchs and Chants played out a 0-0 draw in Conway, South Carolina.
Old Dominion’s final regular season match will be against Georgia State in Atlanta on Sunday, November 1 at 5 p.m. ODU met the Panthers in back-to-back games and went 2-0. They played the last game of the season which saw ODU earn a 2-1 victory on October 29 and then squared up again on November 3 in the Sun Belt Conference Championship Quarterfinals. ODU came away with a 4-0 win at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex and advanced to the Semifinals.

The Sun Belt Conference Championship will be held in Foley, Alabama at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex.
