NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion field hockey team will host seven home games and will travel to Ohio State to open the 2026 campaign, ODU Head Coach Andrew Griffiths announced on Tuesday.

It has challenges from start to finish,” said Griffiths. “We have a challenging first three weekends on the road, and along with some tough preseason games, we expect this to prepare us well for BIG EAST play. Our conference is getting stronger each year, and it’s an excellent challenge for us”. “We are coming off a quality spring of building consistency in our work rate and competitive level, and with our strong group of newcomers, I expect us to be a tough team for anyone to play against this season," added Griffiths.
