NORFOLK, Va. – ODU Director of Athletics, Dr. Wood Selig, announced that Old Dominion University Football will host Family Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 19 against East Carolina and the annual Homecoming game on Saturday, Oct. 31 against Marshall
The Monarchs’ Sept. 19 game against the Pirates will be Family Weekend, an opportunity for students to share their ODU journey with their family and supporters. Join your ODU family for a tailgate barbeque, pregame entertainment, opportunities to connect with other families, and more! Registration for Family Weekend 2026 will open on August 1, and the latest schedule updates and information can be found at odu.edu/familyweekend.
There will be a multitude of events to celebrate ODU’s Homecoming week, including: the ODU Alumni Honors Celebration on Thursday, Oct. 29; a Homecoming Fireworks Celebration at Whitehurst Beach on the Elizabeth River waterfront on Friday, October 30; and gameday activities on October 31 that include activities for students, alumni, and friends. Homecoming also sees the culmination of the annual Monarchs Give Back food drive, spearheaded by ODU President Brian O.
