NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University field hockey rounded out its 2026 roster with the additions of transfer Lotte Haagmans and freshman Nicole Derluk, head coach Andrew Griffiths announced Thursday.

Lotte Haagmans | Forward | Nuth, The Netherlands | Long Island

Haagmans, a forward from Long Island University, is joining Old Dominion after playing two seasons with the Sharks. During her time at LIU, she ranked first nationally in points per game with 3.12, second in goals per game with 1.29, and led the Northeast Conference with 22 goals in 2025. She was named the 2025 NEC Offensive Player of the Year and earned NEC All-Tournament Team honors.

"Lotte is a great addition to our striking line. A key area we focused on with recruiting this year was goalscoring. As shown by her statistics and track record, she is a goalscoring threat,” said Griffiths. “But Lotte is also a hard worker and a physical player, who will add presence and effectiveness to our press. We look forward to welcoming her to Norfolk!"

Nicole Derluk | Back | Buenos Aires, San Martin, Argentina |

Derluk, a back from Buenos Aires is joining ODU after playing as captain of Club Nautico Hacoaj Under 18 Team.

"I’m excited to welcome Nicole to ODU as a freshman for this coming season,” said Griffiths. “She will add depth and strength to our back line. She plays the game with competitive drive and intensity, communicates, and her defensive anticipation and positioning is strong. She can distribute with deception and also over distance - I think she will fit in well with our current defensive group."
