SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – Old Dominion women’s golfer Barbara Car turned in a final round of four-over par 76 on Wednesday to finish tied for 38th at the NCAA Louisville Regional.

Car, this year’s Sun Belt Championship individual medalist, wrapped up stroke play with a 54-hole total of 221 (+5). She carded a one-over 73 in Monday’s opening round and followed with an even 72 on Tuesday.

“We are very proud of Barbara and the way she played this year, especially this spring,” said ODU head coach Mallory Kane. “She’s made great improvements in her golf game and always represents ODU with class. We are already looking forward to next year! Go Monarchs!”

The sophomore from Vodice, Slovenia was in the last group to tee off from the 10th hole on Wednesday morning and was paired with South Carolina’s Maylis Lamoure and Belmont’s Sloane Biddle. After a double bogey to start off the day, she bogeyed the par-3 12th hole and the par-4 14th hole, but made birdie on the par-5 13th hole. Car picked up another stroke with a bogey on the par-5 17th hole and was four-over at the turn with a 40 on the back nine.

Car’s front nine proved to be more consistent as she converted seven putts for par. She went up five strokes with another bogey on the par-4 second hole, but capped off the tournament with a birdie on the par-5 ninth hole.

Auburn’s Anna Davis earned individual medalist honors with a 10-under par 206, edging Indiana’s Sheridan Clancy by a stroke and Ole Miss’ Kajsalotta Svarvar by two strokes. In the team standings, Auburn finished first with a 17-under par 847. Houston placed second with an 11-under 853, and Arkansas came in third with a 10-under 854.
