NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion Head Football Coach Ricky Rahne has been named the recipient of the J. Roy Rodman Memorial Award for Virginia’s Outstanding Collegiate Coach, as given by the Norfolk Sports Club.
Rahne led the Monarchs to a 10-3 record in 2025, finishing the season on a six-game winning streak and defeating South Florida in the StaffDNA Cure Bowl, 24-10.
The 10-win campaign was ODU’s best since a 10-3 record in 2016 and marked the third bowl game in five years for the program.
ODU led the Sun Belt Conference in red zone defense, tackles for loss and sacks, while also tying the program record for sacks with 39.
The Monarchs also set a new single season record for rushing yards with 3,098 and finished seventh in the country with 238.3 rushing yards per game.
Rahne will be honored at the 79th annual Norfolk Sports Club Jamboree, which is set for Thursday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Chartway Arena.
