SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. – Old Dominion women’s golfer Barbara Car carded an even round of 72 on Tuesday and is tied for 30th heading into the final round of stroke play at the NCAA Louisville Regional.

Teeing off from the 10th hole on Tuesday morning, Car was even through her first four holes after she birdied the par-4 11th hole, double bogeyed the par-3 12th hole, and made another birdie on the par-5 13th hole. The sophomore from Vodice, Slovenia then picked up two strokes with bogeys on holes 14 and 15, but converted a birdie putt on the par-5 17th hole to sit at one-over 37 when she made the turn.

Car was then locked in on the front nine, stringing together eight putts for par and a birdie on the par-5 fourth hole. She entered the day in a tie for 36th, and her second round helped her move up six spots in the individual standings.

Houston is currently atop the team standings at 19-under par 557. Auburn is in second place at 17-under 559, and Iowa State is third with a score of 13-under 563. Indiana’s Sheridan Clancy and Auburn’s Anna Davis are the individual leaders, with the pair tied for first with a couple of nine-under par 135s.

Wednesday’s final round will see Car in the final group teeing off from the 10th hole at 9:50 a.m. She will be playing alongside South Carolina’s Maylis Lamoure and Belmont’s Sloane Biddle.
