POINT CLEAR, Ala. – Old Dominion Women's Golf saw its run in this year’s Sun Belt Championship come to an end on Thursday as the Monarchs dropped their semifinal match to top-seeded ULM, 4.5-0.5.

ODU finished the final round of stroke play tied for fourth with Coastal Carolina on Wednesday afternoon, but won the two-team playoff over the Chanticleers to advance to match play.

Barbara Car, the 2026 Sun Belt Championship individual champion, went head-to-head against ULM’s Anna Andrysova. Andrysova had a two-hole lead after 16 holes, but she bogeyed the last two and Car made both of her putts for par as the two finished tied.

Puneet Bajwa played against Daniela Campillo Martinez, who also held a two-hole lead through 14. Bajwa won the par-4 15th hole to cut the deficit to one, but Campilo Martinez made a birdie on 16 and both golfers made par on 17 as Campilo Martinez held on, 2&1.

The third pairing saw Mariana Arronte pitted against Johanna Sjursen. Arronte put together three-straight birdies on holes 9-11 to take a one-hole lead, but then had three bogeys on 12, 14, and 15. That allowed Sjursen to regain control and she won the match, 3&2.

Alina Shchepteva squared off against Emma Lucrezia Manzini. The Moscow, Russia native found herself trailing by three early on, but won the par-4 fourth hole as she made par and Lucrezia Manzini bogeyed. However, Shchepteva couldn’t make up any more ground as Lucrezia Manzini led by five with four holes remaining.

The final matchup featured Ludovica Girola and ULM’s Zoe McLean-Tattan. Girola made a birdie on the par-3 third hole to even the score, but bogeys on holes four, six, seven, and 10 allowed McLean-Tattan to grab a four-hole advantage. Girola claimed the par-4 11th hole with a birdie, and then made par on the 12th hole to narrow the gap to two. Both golfers then made par on holes 13 and 14, and Girola took the 15th hole as she made par and McLean-Tattan bogeyed. However, the match went unfinished as McLean-Tattan was one-up through 15.
