NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s basketball player KC Shaw has been named to the CSC 2025-26 Academic All-District Team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their performances both on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible for the award, recipients must achieve a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and must either play in 90% of their games during the season or start in at least 66% of games.
A senior guard from Charlotte, North Carolina, Shaw started all 29 games he appeared in this season and was ODU’s leading scorer with 16.8 ppg. He finished the season with 488 points, 124 rebounds (4.3 rpg), 64 assists, 13 steals, and eight blocks and scored in double figures 25 times, including 17 times against Sun Belt opponents.
He scored a career-high 34 points against Troy on Jan. 21 and recorded a 20-point, 11-rebound double-double at Texas State on Jan. 31. He then led the Monarchs with 28 points in their win over Georgia State on Feb. 14 and finished with 26 points at Marshall on Feb. 24. He led ODU with 25 points in the team’s Sun Belt tournament victory over ULM, adding nine rebounds and seven assists to his stat line.
Shaw, a general studies major with concentrations in sport management and leadership, earned a 3.63 GPA.
