NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion sailing released its spring 2026 schedule, head coach Mitch Brindley announced on Tuesday.
ODU will open its season with a Quad scrimmage from Saturday, Feb. 21 through Sunday, Feb. 22 against Navy.
The Monarchs will be in action next against Georgetown and George Washington in Alexandria, Va. on Saturday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, March 1 for a DC Team Race. The ODU women’s sailing team will be back in Norfolk for an intersquad scrimmage.
ODU women’s sailing will take on Navy in Annapolis, Md. for a Team Race on Saturday, March 7 before heading to Galesville, Md. for the Diamondback Women’s Fleet Race held by the West River Sailing Club on Sunday, March 8. The Monarchs will also be participating in the John Jackson Team Race against Georgetown in Alexandria, Va. during those two days.
Old Dominion heads back to Annapolis, Md. for another meeting with the Navy for the Graham Hall Team Race on Saturday, March 14. On Sunday, March 15 the Monarchs’ women’s team will be in St. Marys, Md. for the St. Mary’s women’s fleet race against St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
The Monarchs hold the Aaron Szambecki Team Race in Norfolk, Va. on Saturday, March 21 before heading to Alexandria for the Blaire Herron Team Race against Georgetown. The Monarchs compete in the Hanbury Trophy against Christopher Newport University on Sunday, March 22.
ODU women’s sailing will be in Kings Port, N.Y on Sunday, March 29 for the MAISA women’s team race against USMMA. The coed sailing team will be in Boston, Mass. for the Marchiando 2nd Alt against MIT on Monday, March 30.
The coed sailing team will head to Ithaca, N.Y. to compete in the Prosser Trophy against Cornell on Sunday, April 5. The women’s sailing team heads south to New Orleans to face Tulane in a Team Race on Monday, April 6.
The Silver and Blue’s women’s sailing team takes on Georgetown in a MAISA Team Race on Sunday, April 12 in Alexandria, Va. The coed sailing team competes against Navy in the Truxtun Umstead Open Fleet Race on Sunday, April 12. ODU hosts the Grant Trophy in Norfolk, Va. on Monday, April 13.
The Monarchs wrap up the 2025 spring schedule in St. Mary’s, Md. for the 2025 America Trophy against St. Mary’s College of Maryland on April 19-20.
