NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Football Head Coach Ricky Rahne has promoted Ryan Wilson to tight ends coach, Rahne announced on Thursday.

Wilson was an offensive quality control coach for a Monarch offense that set the school record for rushing yards last season.

Wilson returned to ODU for the 2025 season as he was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Hampden-Sydney in 2024.

The previous three seasons Wilson was at ODU serving in various roles, working with the tight ends, running backs and quarterbacks in his first tenure with the Monarchs.

Wilson came to ODU after one-year stints at Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (N.Y.), where he coached defensive backs.

A three-year starter at safety at Fairleigh Dickson (N.J.), Wilson graduated from FDU in 2019 with a degree in sports administration.
