NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s tennis completed its homestand with a decisive 4-0 win over South Alabama on Sunday morning.

No. 3 Zech Hamrouni and Piet Steveker opened doubles for ODU with a 6-1 win over Victor Frumholz and Deren Yigin. No. 1 Thomas Nelson and Adam Majchrzak followed suit, downing Braden Hannig and Harold van Raemdonck 6-4, suspending No. 2 Felix Obermair’s and Jean-Karim Olivier de Sardan’s match against Juan Accossatto and Adam Bouyacoub (5-4).

Obermair grabbed the first singles win with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over van Raemdonck on court three. No. 1 Majchrzak came next, downing Accossatto 6-2, 6-2 and putting the Monarchs one point away from sweeping the Jaguars. Olivier de Sardan ended the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Hannig on court two, clinching victory for ODU.

No. 4 Hamrouni’s, No. 5 Aryan Saleh’s, and No. 6 Steveker’s matches against respective opponents Jules Caby (6-4, 4-4), Bouyacoub (6-4, 4-2) and Victor Frumholz (6-4, 5-0) were suspended.

Old Dominion hits the road next weekend to take on Rice on Friday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m.
