NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion men’s tennis hosts in-state rival Virginia Tech and Sun Belt opponent South Alabama this week at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.

The Monarchs challenge the Hokies on Friday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m., before taking on the Jaguars on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. Live stats and streaming will be available for both matches.

ODU is coming off a week without play, though the team will look to extend its three-game winning streak after besting Richmond and Norfolk State in a doubleheader on Jan. 30. The Monarchs currently hold a 4-2 record.

Virginia Tech is 1-4 after beginning the season with three straight sweeps and falling just short to Middle Tennessee, 4-3. However, the Hokies were able to secure their first win of the season last week against Davidson by a 7-0 score.

South Alabama has begun its spring campaign at an even 2-2 record and will look to rebound following a 4-1 loss to Florida Atlantic on Jan. 29.

Men’s tennis has swept every eligible Sun Belt Weekly Honors awards so far this spring. Most recently, on Feb. 4, Piet Steveker and Zech Hamrouni won SBC Doubles Team of the Week alongside Aryan Saleh who was awarded SBC Singles Player of the Week.
