NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion Lacrosse team has announced their 2026 schedule, ODU head coach Theresa Walton announced on Monday. The schedule contains nine home matches.
“We are fired up for this year’s 2026 season to get underway this spring. We feel good about the balance we'll face in our out-of-conference slate and how each game will position us for a strong showing once conference play begins,” said head coach Theresa Walton. “We’re looking to build off the fight we showed last year in conference, and we know this team is ready to elevate that intensity even more this season.”
The Monarchs open the season at Youngstown State on Feb. 8 in Youngstown, Ohio to play the Penguins. On Valentines Day, Feb. 14, they travel to Elon, North Carolina to play the Phoenixes. The first home game of the season will be Feb. 21 and feature a match up with the VCU Rams.
The Monarchs continue their homestand against Gardner-Webb Feb. 25, Rider on Feb. 28, and Furman on March 6.
The Monarchs head to Rock Hill, South Carolina where they will face the Winthrop Eagles on March 8. They return to Norfolk for a face-off against Xavier March 10. They then hit the road for the first American Conference match up in North Carolina where to face Charlotte on March 14, then head to Farmville, Virginia to face the Longwood Lancers on March 17.
In the second conference match, the Monarchs will host Vanderbilt on March 21. To round out the month, they head to Conway, South Carolina to play the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on March 25, then return home to host USF for the third conference match on March 28.
In the month of April, conference matches, three, four, and five will be played consecutively on April 4 at Temple, April 11 at ECU, and finally Monmouth on April 18, followed by a bye weekend. Then the final home and conference match will host James Madison on April 25 in Norfolk.
The American Conference Championship will be held in Nashville, Tennessee at Vanderbilt on April 30-May 2.
