NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion Volleyball Head Coach Fred Chao has added another future Monarch to his 2026 recruiting class in Atlyn Proctor, a transfer from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. She joins fellow commits Abby MacMillan, Ashlyn Gent, Erica Duffy, Leilani Lawrence, Avery Thiessen and Emma DiRocco.

"We are so fortunate to add Atlyn to our program,” said Chao. “She brings size and power to our offense and experience from a successful career at Hutchinson. She can elevate our point scoring ability and our competitiveness both in match as well as in practice. Atlyn has a positive and mature perspective on her development, and we look forward to her continued growth."

Why ODU?

“I chose ODU because of the coaching staff. They really made me feel welcome and at home. As well as the school caring for their athletes. They have great facilities, and the location is something I have never experienced before.”
