NEW ORLEANS - Old Dominion junior forward Lewis Rourke was named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team, the conference announced on Friday.

Rourke transferred to Old Dominion from Northeast Community College this season and has made his presence felt. The native of Nottingham, England leads the Monarchs in goals scored (8) and total points (19).

His 19 points in all games played ranks tied for sixth in the Sun Belt, his eight goals are tied for fourth in the conference. Rourke averages .47 goals per game which is tied for sixth in the SBC. He has two multi-point performances and ranks ninth in total shots with 32 and averages 1.88 per contest. Rourke has played in 16 games, making 12 starts, and has a shot on goal percentage of 88.1%.

He got his goal scoring tally off the mark in his fifth match, scoring two away against Bucknell. He scored in back-to-back games when he found the back of the net in a 1-0 win against UMBC. Rourke scored in two straight games against Sun Belt Conference opponents. He beat the keeper in a 1-1 draw against South Carolina and a 1-1 draw against UCF. He also ended the regular season with goals against James Madison and #18 Kentucky, both were 1-1 draws that saw the Monarchs gain valuable points in the SBC standings.

ODU enters the Sun Belt Conference Championships as the seven seed and heads to Morgantown, W.Va. to match up with the Mountaineers for the second time this season. The lone meeting this season resulted in a 1-0 loss for ODU.
