SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Old Dominion men’s tennis is sending two players to the ITA Conference Masters Championships beginning on Thursday, Nov. 6 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego. Zech Hamrouni will represent the Monarchs in singles, while Hamrouni and Yanis Moundir will compete in the doubles competition.

“What a great honor for our program to represent the Sun Belt in singles and doubles at the Masters. Zech and Yanis deserve this selection and will work hard to make our entire conference proud. Adam also qualified for Sectionals through his strong fall results. We are excited to finish the fall on a strong note,” ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller said.

Each conference gets to select one singles player and doubles pairing to compete in the tournament. Four singles players, each semifinalist and three doubles players, first, second and third place, earn bids to the NCAA Tournament that begins on November 18 in Orlando Florida.

Hamrouni is 6-1 so far this fall, including a 4-1 record at the ITA Regionals in mid-October.

Moundir and Hamrouni are also 6-1 as a doubles team heading into the Masters Championships.

Sophomore Adam Majchrzak was selected to play in the ITA Sectionals that are held in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He heads into sectionals with a 6-1 mark in singles this fall. Six players from each of the six sections will advance to the NCAA Tournament.
