NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion women’s soccer has six members who have been selected to the 2025-26 CSC (College Sports Communicators) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the CSC on Tuesday afternoon.
The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Those earning all-district honors required a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50 without rounding up and must’ve either started in 66% or competed in 90% of all matches.
Yuliia Khrystiuk (3.53 GPA), Ashlynn Kulha (3.63 GPA), Katie Lutz (3.66 GPA), Katie McCormick (3.91 GPA), Riley Mullen (3.81 GPA), and Gry Boe Thrysoe (3.99 GPA) were all selected.
Khrystiuk makes her first CSC Academic All-District Team, this past season she was selected to the All-Sun Belt Third Team and finished the season with three goals, eight assists, and made 17 starts.
Kulha adds to her growing list of accolades after being named Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons, a feat that no other player has ever accomplished. She was named Sun Belt Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and tacked on a Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week after holding Maryland to zero goals and securing the shutout while scoring a diving header.
Lutz earned the honor for the second year in a row. She played in all 18 games this season, making 17 starts, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
McCormick is a back-to-back recipient of the CSC Academic All-District Team. The graduate student played in all 18 games for the Monarchs in the midfield and made 15 starts.
Mullen was selected for the second straight year. She was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team this year. Mullen led the Monarchs with 18 points from five goals and eight assists, with both totals being a career high for the midfielder from Staten Island, N.Y.
Thrysoe was selected to the 2024-25 CSC Academic All-District Team and was named to the All-Sun Belt Second Team and Sun Belt Conference Tournament Team this season. She finished the season with 18 starts, six goals, and one assist for the defensive midfielder.
