NORFOLK, Va. - The defending Sun Belt Conference Champions Old Dominion Men’s and Women’s tennis teams have announced their 2026 schedules, ODU Head Coaches Dominik Mueller and Dominic Manilla announced on Monday. The men's schedule contains 12 home matches while the women host 11.
“This might be one of the most balanced schedules we have ever played since we expect the majority of our opponents to land between 25-90 in the rankings come Spring and absolutely no easy match at all,” Muller said. “The Sun Belt cancelling the regular season threw a curveball at us but I think we added many quality teams to replace that and it will test our team each and every weekend. It’s definitely a schedule that needs us to be ready from January until the end.”
The ODU men's team opens the spring season by hosting Georgetown on January 17 and Yale on the 18th. The Monarchs then travel to Columbus, Ohio to play in the Kick Off Weekend Tournament. They will then return to Norfolk to host Richmond and home-town rival Norfolk State Jan. 30 for a double header.
“We have been developing the core of this group for several seasons now and we have numerous opportunities for them to showcase their talent,” Manilla said. “I am excited for the high level of tennis we will be bringing to campus with our impressive home schedule.”
