NEW ORLEANS - Old Dominion women’s soccer is slated to take on Georgia State in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship on Monday, Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m., the conference announced on Wednesday.
The Monarchs and Panthers just played each other on Wednesday night in Norfolk. ODU came out with a 2-1 victory to take the East Division and the number two seed in the tournament.
The Monarchs played Georgia State last season in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Championship and won 5-4 on penalty kicks after tying 1-1. This will be the 16th all-time matchup between the two East Division foes, with ODU holding a 9-4-2 advantage.
GSU finished the regular season 9-7-2 and are coming off back-to-back losses to JMU (2-0) and ODU (2-1).
