NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion Sailors Gianna Dewey and Esther Ireland earned at-large bids to the Women’s Singlehanded National Championships set for November 8-9 that will be hosted by ODU.
It is the second time in her career that Dewey has earned a bid to the national championships while it is the first bid for the freshman Ireland.
Dewey’s top finish in singlehanded events this fall was a second-place spot in the Faye Bennet MAISA Women’s Single, while Ireland finished right behind in third place.
The championships will begin on November 8 at 10:15 a.m. and continue on November 9 at 10 a.m.
