“This wasn’t our best performance today.

Our goal was to come in and win the game. And if we want to win these challenging games then two things must happen: mentally, we must play tougher; and physically, we must be stronger on the ball, and stronger with defending our circle.

Duke has talented and athletic players so we needed to raise our level. We didn’t show enough toughness in the first half, and I think throughout the game we didn’t play strongly with the ball and we got stripped and lost possession too many times”. Said Head Coach Andrew Griffiths

“If there is a positive to take away from the game, it is that Suus was outstanding in goal, and also that this will wake us up and prepare us for our final regular season game on Friday”. Added Coach Griffiths

The Monarchs were outshot by the Blue Devils 24-2 and followed in corners 9-1.
