NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s and women’s basketball teams have announced their respective promotional schedules for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

The men’s exhibition game versus Hampton on Oct. 26 will be a part of ODU’s Homecoming Weekend and will have a Monarch Masquerade theme. The women’s home opener against UMass, in addition to being the opening round of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge, will be a White Out game. The men will then host Randolph College on Nov. 6 for their home opener.

For the women’s game on Nov. 7 against Elizabeth City State, as part of National Jersey Day, kids who wear a basketball jersey will receive free admission. The Monarchs will hold Military Appreciation Night for both the men’s game against Norfolk State on Nov. 11 and the women’s game versus Delaware on Nov. 12, with the men’s game also being a White Out.

Both teams will have HACE Toy Drives when the men host Morgan State on Nov. 21 and the women take on NC Central on Nov. 23. The men’s game against the Bears will also be a 90s Throwback Night as well as Community Night, while the women’s game will be Big Blue’s Kids Club Night with members receiving free admission.

ODU Women’s Basketball opens up December with a home game against Delaware State on the first, a contest that will be Creator Night and Social Media Night at Chartway Arena. The Monarchs will then have an Educator Appreciation game on Dec. 7 when they take on Howard.

The first doubleheader for the two programs will fall on Dec. 17. After the women host an Education Day game against Troy in the morning, the men will have their TowneBank Royal Rivalry clash with James Madison that evening. Fans are encouraged to wear their best ugly holiday sweater for the game.

ODU Men’s Basketball will round out December with home games against Coastal Carolina on the 20th and App State on the 31st. The meeting with the Chanticleers will be a Maritime Appreciation game, and the meeting with the Mountaineers will be themed New Years Eve Kids Party & Y2K…25 Years Later.

On Jan. 1, the women’s team will host Georgia Southern on what will be ODU Clearance Day. Old Dominion then has another doubleheader on Jan. 3, with both games celebrating Healthcare Appreciation. The women will host Georgia State at 1 p.m., with the men’s game versus Georgia Southern to follow.

The women’s contest versus App State on Jan. 14 will be a Championship Effort game as well as 2000’s Throwback Night. The Monarchs will then host Marshall on Jan. 17 for the Anne Donovan Classic. On the men’s side, the Jan. 21 matchup with Troy will be their Championship Effort game, and the team will then have its Coaches vs. Cancer and Suits & Sneakers game against Louisiana on Jan. 24.

The following week will see the women taking on ULM on Jan. 28 for Super Hero Day, then a home game against Southern Miss on Jan. 31 for National Girls & Women in Sports Day as well as the team’s Play4Kay Pink Out game.

In February, the ODU men will have a Fraternity & Sorority Night versus ULM on Feb. 4 and will celebrate Big Blue’s Birthday on Feb. 7 during the second round of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge.

The two teams then wrap up their home schedules with a pair of doubleheaders. On Feb. 11, the women open up with a Battle of the Beach game versus Coastal Carolina, while the men will then take on Marshall in a Black Out and Faith & Family game. For the second doubleheader on Feb. 14, the women will host James Madison in the TowneBank Royal Rivalry with the men taking the court against Georgia State. Both games on the 14th will mark Senior Night for the Monarchs, and they will also be Fan Appreciation games.
