KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Old Dominion women’s soccer’s junior defender Ashlynn Kulha has been named to the 2025 Hermann Trophy Watch List, as announced by United Soccer Coaches offices on Thursday.

The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation’s highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year through voting held by Division I head coaches who are also a member of United Soccer Coaches.

The 2025 watch list was compiled by members of the Division I Women’s All-America Council from a list of returning 2024 All-Americans and First Team All-Region Players. The total list of 43 members will be cut down to 15 players and the remaining players will be named 2025 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 2 after the completion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, three players will be named finalists and the 2025 recipient of the award will be announced on January 9, 2026.

The native of Holly Springs, North Carolina piles on the accolades after she was recently named to the Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Top 100 Players List (63), Sun Belt Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, and the Preseason All-Sun Belt Team. Last season, she earned First Team All-Sun Belt honors and is the reigning Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year.

Old Dominion takes on Georgetown in its season opener today at 7:30 P.M. in Washington D.C.
