NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s and women’s swimming teams earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Team Scholar All-America honors, the CSCAA announced. Men’s swimmers Bryce Mortimer and Zach Redding earned second team individual Scholar All-America honors.

“I am unbelievably proud of this team and how hard they continue to work both in the pool and the classroom,” ODU Head Coach Jess Livsey said. “Semester after semester they achieve their individual goals, in addition to coming together as a unit to serve as leaders on campus and represent Monarch Nation to the core.”

To qualify for individual honors, swimmers must compile a 3.5 GPA and record an NCAA B-cut qualifying time. Mortimer earned his B-cut time in the 200 breaststroke, setting a school record in the process, while Redding notched his in the 50 free.

Redding posts a 3.86 GPA in sport management, while Redding holds a 4.0 GPA in nursing.

The women’s squad posted a team GPA of 3.67, while the men’s team delivered a 3.39 GPA.
