NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion women’s tennis continues its road stretch at Louisiana on Friday, April 4, before traveling to Texas to challenge Texas State on Sunday, April 6.

The match against the Ragin Cajuns begins at 3 p.m. at the Cajun Courts, while the Monarchs will take on the Bobcats at 10 a.m. at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.

ODU is 2-0 all-time against Louisiana, after besting them in their first meeting in 2023 by a 4-0 score, and again in 2024 with a 7-0 sweep. Meanwhile, the Monarchs are 3-0 all-time against the Bobcats, and in their last meeting, Old Dominion downed Texas State 6-1 at home.

Old Dominion is on a three-game winning streak following a 4-0 road win against rival James Madison last weekend. The weekend prior, ODU downed both South Alabama and Southern Miss by 4-1 scores, bringing the Monarch’s Sun Belt Conference record to 7-0.

Louisiana is coming off a weekend where the team went 1-1, falling to South Alabama 4-0 before defeating Southern Miss 4-1. The Ragin Cajuns are 9-6 overall with a 2-4 SBC record.

Texas State is on a four-game win streak after its match against South Alabama was canceled last weekend due to inclement weather. The Bobcats hold a 14-3 record and are 5-1 in SBC play.

The Monarchs are currently ranked 41st in the ITA with Sofia Johnson coming in at 15th with an 12-2 singles record this spring.
