NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University will host a Watch Party for the men’s and women’s tennis NCAA Selection Show on Monday, April 28. The women’s tennis show begins at 5 p.m. with the men’s show to follow at 5:30 p.m.
The selection show will be held in the APR room at the LR Hill Sports Complex. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and parking will be available in Lot 43. The event is free and open to the public.
The men’s tennis team clinched its third straight NCAA Tournament berth with a 4-2 win over Georgia Southern in the Sun Belt Championship match last Sunday. Jean-Karim Olivier de Sardan clinched the match with a win at No. 5 singles. ODU is 17-8 on the year and won its third straight regular season SBC crown with a 7-0 regular season.
The women’s tennis team won its fifth straight conference title and third straight Sun Belt Championship with a 4-1 win over Marshall on Sunday. Lidiia Rasskouskaia clinched the championship with a 7-6, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles. The Monarchs are 19-4 on the year and also won the SBC regular season with an undefeated 11-0 mark.
Both teams will find out their opponents and destinations during Monday’s selection show.
