NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion men’s basketball’s Sean Durugordon and Robert Davis Jr. were both named to the CSC 2024-25 Academic All-District Men’s Basketball Team.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men’s Basketball Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their performance both in the classroom and on the court. In the classroom, recipients must achieve a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher while on the court must play in 90% of game’s played during the season.
Durugordon played in 35 games, started 34, and was the Monarch’s leading scorer this season (15.7 ppg). The native of Harlem, New York ranked seventh in offensive rebounds per game (3.89) and eighth with 17 double doubles. The Third Team All-Sun Belt member averaged 15.7 points on 45% shooting from the field and grabbed a team high average of nine rebounds per game.
Davis Jr. played in 34 games, starting in 33 of them and was the team’s second leading scorer (15.6 ppg) and was the team’s leading three-point shooter averaging 3.41 makes per game. His 116 three-point field goals ranked sixth in the nation and his 3.41 makes ranked fifth in the NCAA. Davis Jr. broke the single-season three-point record surpassing Anthony Carver’s output from the 89-90 season.
