NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced the 2024 Women's Tennis Championship pairings on Monday morning and Old Dominion will be the top seed in the event starting on Wednesday at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.
ODU (14-5, 10-0) will take on the winner of eighth-seeded Texas State (11-7, 5-5) and ninth-seeded Georgia State (9-13, 5-6) at 10 a.m. on Friday in the quarterfinals. The semifinals are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, while the finals are at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The Monarchs enter the tournament coming off their second straight undefeated regular season in league play. ODU defeated Texas State 6-1 at home on March 23 and didn't play Georgia State during the regular season.
"We are happy to receive the one seed for the championships. The conference is extremely competitive, so we are anxious to learn our opponent," said ODU Head Coach Dominic Manilla.
All matches from the tournament will be streamed on ESPN+.
