NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced the 2024 Men's Tennis Championship pairings on Monday evening and Old Dominion will be the second seed in the nine-team event at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.

ODU will face seventh-seeded Southern Miss in a 2 p.m. Friday quarterfinal round match. The Monarchs defeated Southern Miss 4-0 on March 30 at home. With a win, they'll face the winner of third-seeded Georgia State and sixth-seeded Troy in a 2 p.m. Saturday semifinal. The finals are scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday.

The Monarchs shared the regular season title with Georgia Southern, who took the tiebreaker in a 4-3 win over ODU on March 24.

"Being the two-seed feels familiar and suited us well last year. This year the conference is so even that the seeding almost doesn't matter, it's about the matchup and who shows up ready to go on match day. It's hard to beat the same team twice in a season, so Friday will be a challenging match right out of the gate. Southern Miss won three conference matches this season, so they are by no means a true seven seed. Any other year they would have been somewhere between four and six, so it shows again the quality and depth we have in the Sun Belt this year," said ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller.

Each of the tournament's eight matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.
