NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion Lacrosse team and Head Coach Theresa Walton announced its 2025 schedule on Monday.
“We are thrilled to announce our schedule for the Monarch Lacrosse 2025 Spring season. With our quality of depth within each position of experienced players and young talent, it will be very exciting to see how this squad competes this upcoming year,” said ODU Head Coach Theresa Walton.
The Monarchs will host Longwood in the season opener on Friday, Feb. 7.
ODU will be on the road for the next three games, traveling to face off against Wofford for the first time on Feb. 9, then head to battle Furman on Valentine's day (Feb. 14), and lastly, wrapping up the road trip with Gardner-Webb on Monday, Feb. 16.
Old Dominion returns home to take on the Campbell Camels on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The Monarchs will then travel to Richmond face off against in-state rivals VCU on Wednesday, Feb 26 before traveling to Pennsylvania to battle Lafayette on Saturday, March 1.
ODU returns to Norfolk on Wednesday, March 5 to take on the Howard Bison.
Old Dominion will make a quick stop in Maryland to face off against Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday, March 9.
“It will be great to see how much our out of conference slate will allow us to refine our own game and elevate our play one opponent at a time in preparation for AAC competition. Everyday we get to pick up our sticks together, this team is bringing a level of intention, energy, and belief in each other that’s exciting to be a part of,” added Walton.
The Monarchs will begin AAC play on Saturday, March 15 when the Monarchs host conference newcomers Charlotte. Before taking on the Winthrop Eagles at home on Wednesday, March 19.
ODU will then be on the road for the next two games, they will take on James Madison in AAC play on Saturday, March 22 before traveling to play Robert Morris on Wednesday, March 26.
The team will return home on Saturday, April 5 to battle East Carolina in AAC play at 1p.m.
Old Dominion will then travel to Florida to take on conference newcomers South Florida on Saturday, April 12th at noon.
ODU will have its final home game of the season and senior night against Temple on Saturday, April 19 in AAC play.
The final game of the regular season will be on Saturday, April 26 at noon when the Monarchs battle Vanderbilt in the final game of AAC play.
The AAC tournament will be held on May 1 and May 3, at the LR Hill Complex.
