NORFOLK, Va. - The NFHCA announced their 2024 D1 All-Region Teams on Wednesday and Old Dominion has five athletes who were honored in the South Region.
“I am glad to see our players rewarded and recognized for their hard work. With such a strong South region, including UNC, Duke, Virginia, Wake Forest, Liberty and JMU, I’m proud that we have five players receiving all-region honors, tied with Virginia for the second most in the region. This is a reflection of the balance we have on our team,” said ODU Head Coach Andrew Griffiths.
Seniors Tess Jedeloo and Frederique Zandbergen were selected to the South Region First Team. Goalkeeper Suus Broers, midfielder Sian Emslie, and defender Serena Langendoen were selected to the South Region Second Team.
“Tess and Freddy will graduate, but with the other Suus, Serena and Sian returning, along with a solid core of our key players, I’m looking forward to what 2025 will look like.” said Griffiths.
