ROME, Ga. – Old Dominion University Women’s Tennis player Sofia Johnson kicks off her run at the ITA Conference Masters Championships on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 3:30 p.m. in Mount Berry, Georgia on the campus of Berry College.
Johnson is the No. 2 seed in the tournament and will face the winner of Anna Neyestani (Fairfield) and Chloe Routier (Western Illinois) at 3:30 p.m. Neyestani and Routier play at 10:45 a.m.
Kira Matushkina is competing at the Eastern Sectionals at North Carolina with the same NCAA Tournament qualifying opportunies as Johnson. Matushkina plays Kallista Liu of Maryland on Thursday at noon.
The four semifinalists of the tournament will receive automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament scheduled for Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas.
