NORFOLK, Va. – The defending Sun Belt Conference Champion Old Dominion University Men’s Tennis team has released its 2025 schedule, ODU Head Coach Dominik Mueller announced on Thursday. The schedule contains 11 home matches.

“We are excited about this schedule. We are playing a couple more Power Four teams than we have in the past, because I think this team is ready for that challenge. Being back at the Kick-off weekend and being invited to the San Diego Spring Break Tournament is special and shows where our program stands nationally,” Mueller said. “The Sun Belt is always challenging, and I think the non-conference part of the schedule will prepare us for that. Hosting Cal is unique since we don’t really see teams from the West coast that much, but with their move to the ACC they happened to be close by and we are looking forward to host them at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. Really looking forward to a fun and challenging Spring season.”

Old Dominion opens the spring season by hosting Georgetown and CNU on January 17. The Monarchs then travel to Richmond to play against Virginia. The Monarchs will stay on the road, as they head to Durham, North Carolina for a two-day tournament hosted by Duke.

Starting off February, the Monarchs travel to Blacksburg to play Virginia Tech on Feb. 7. Back at home on Feb. 9 Old Dominion will host Charlotte before going back to Richmond to play VCU on Feb.14. On Feb. 23 the Monarchs are back at home to play Elon and Feb. 28 hosting Liberty.

Getting into March, the Monarchs head to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to take on Penn on March 2. The Monarchs travel to San Diego, California for the Ed Collins Invite on March 7-9. They then head to the south to play Georgia State in Atlanta on March 12. On March 22 Old Dominion plays Georgia Southern, on March 23 they play Coastal Carolina and on March 26 they play California, all in Norfolk. On March 28 the Monarchs are back on the road to play at South Alabama. They stay in Alabama for their next match against Troy.

The month of April will be less travel for the Monarchs as the first three games are at home. The Monarchs host JMU on April 5, Southern Miss on April 12 and Louisiana on April 13. At the end of April, the Monarchs head off to Rome, Georgia to play in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
