NORFOLK, Va. – With 16 home games, including several regional foes visiting Chartway Arena, the Old Dominion men’s basketball team announced tip times for their home games for the 2024-25 season on Wednesday.
The season opener will be a “Welcome Back Mike” game as it’s the season opener for new head coach Mike Jones with ODU hosting Buffalo on November 4 at 7 p.m. in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge. Old Dominion will return to Chartway Arena to face UMES on November 15 at 7 p.m. This game will be a doubleheader with the women’s team facing Morgan State at 4 p.m.
On November 19, the Monarchs will host Randolph-Macon on Paul and Charlotte Webb Scholarship Night at 7 p.m.
December will see the Monarchs home for four games starting with William & Mary on December 2 at 7 p.m. for The Office Holiday Party Night. ODU will entertain George Washington on December 7 with that game time to be announced at a later date.
Another doubleheader with the women’s team will be on December 15 as the men host Northeastern for a 1 p.m. start as the women will play East Carolina at approximately 3:30 p.m. The month closes with Virginia Wesleyan coming to Chartway Arena for a 4 p.m. start on December 28.
Conference play kicks off the 2025 portion of the schedule as ODU will host Arkansas State on January 2 at 7 p.m. and Southern Miss on January 4 at 4 p.m.
Following a two-game road swing, the Monarchs return home for four games over a two-week span. That run begins on January 16 with App State coming to Chartway Arena for a 7 p.m. start. Two days later, Georgia Southern comes to Norfolk for Alumni Day and a 3:30 p.m. start. The women will also celebrate their Alumni Day with a game at 1 p.m. that day.
The annual Towne Bank Royal Rivalry White Out Night will be on January 22 when James Madison visits for a 7 p.m. tip. Coastal Carolina rounds out that homestand with a 7 pm. Contest on January 25.
February will have three chances to catch your Monarchs as they’ll host Texas State on February 5, Marshall on February 20 and will celebrate Senior Night against Georgia State on February 22 with all games being 7 p.m.
