NEW YORK - Sian Emslie was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week along with Serena Langendoen being named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Emslie scored three goals in two games, scoring two at Georgetown and one against JMU, helping the Monarchs record back-to-back wins this week.
In 12 games played so far to start the season, Emslie has nine goals on 23 shots, 16 of which have been on goal, registering a shot on goal percentage of .696 this season.
Langendoen scored two goals in two games, finding the net against both the Hoyas and the Dukes.
In 12 games played, Langedoen has seven goals on 34 shots, with 25 shots on goal, recording a .735 shot on goal percentage this season.
Old Dominion will next be in action on Friday, October 18, 3 p.m. against Villanova in BIG EAST Conference play at the LR Hill Sports Complex in Norfolk.
