Associate Head Coach Natalie Holder said this after the victory:
“Today was a dominating victory for us. One of our goals was to start the game strong and we definitely did that with scoring in the first two minutes of the game.”
“We set the tone of the game early and capitalized on our attacking opportunities.
This is our third victory of the season and third shutout, so another strong performance by our defense and two goalkeepers.”
“We were able to get more playing time for some other players who have been working very hard all season - special mention to Avery Jackson who scored two goals today and her first ever in an ODU uniform.”
“As always - we have areas from this game that we can improve on and keep growing together as a team, but we will enjoy this today and get back to practice tomorrow with all focus on William & Mary.”
ODU is now 3-0 on the season and will next be in action on September 8, where they will face off against William & Mary in Williamsburg at 1 p.m..
