NEW YORK - Tess Jedeloo was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week. She received this honor alongside teammate Serena Langendoen who was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Jedeloo helped lead the #18 Monarchs to victories against Queens University of Charlotte and William & Mary. She scored five goals in two games, slotting three past Queens in a 9-0 rout as well as notching two past the William & Mary goalkeeper in a 4-1 victory.
Langendoen found the back of the net alongside a defensive effort that led to a shutout in the victory over Queens. She played a full 60 minutes in the victory over William & Mary and played a role in disrupting the opposing team’s progression in offense.
Old Dominion will next be in action on Friday, September 13, 5 p.m. against Duke in its home opener at the LR Hill Sports Complex in Norfolk.
