NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion Sailing Team will host three events this fall to highlight the 2024 schedule, Head Coach Mitch Brindley announced on Thursday.
The fall campaign begins on Saturday, Sept. 7 with the Riley Cup in Norfolk, while the Monarchs will also compete at the Laser South Regatta in Annapolis, Maryland and the Women’s Regatta also in Annapolis.
The following week ODU stays in Annapolis for the Chesapeake Invitational and the Faye Bennet Regatta.
Beginning Saturday, Sept. 21 the Monarchs will compete in the Top 9 Combined in Ithaca, New York.
The weekend of Saturday, Sept. 28-29 is a busy one as ODU will compete in the Women’s ACC Prelims (Atlantic Coast Championship) in New London, Connecticut, the Van Duyne in Annapolis, Maryland and the CofC Interconference in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Monarchs return home for the Oyster Bowl on Saturday, Oct. 6 but will also compete in the CofC Women’s Fall Regatta back in Charleston.
On Saturday, Oct. 12 ODU takes part in the Webb/ Woollum Regatta in Hampton.
The following weekend the Monarchs will compete in the Open ACC’s in Boston, the Yale Women’s Regatta in New Haven, Connecticut and the Tom Curtis event in Alexandria, Virginia.
Old Dominion will host the MAISA Fall Women’s Championship on the weekend of October 26-27 and will also compete in the War Memorial in St. Mary’s, Maryland.
The men’s and women’s singlehanded National Championships cap off the fall season on November 9-10 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
