Last year these teams met in Norfolk where a Karan Mandair penalty kick in the 11th minute of the opening half provided the lone tally in an ODU 1-0 victory. The Monarchs lead the all-time series 7-2-2.

ODU (1-1) returns to action after a 3-1 loss on Monday night at now 14th-ranked VCU in Richmond. Michael Eberle scored the first marker for ODU in the 58th minute as he got by the VCU goalie on a breakaway and found the back of the net. The Rams scored three goals in an eight-minute span to take the win.

Curtis DeLeon has one goal and one assist, while Lotem Ben Dov has the other tally for Campbell. Joining Matos and DeLeon with assists are Carson Pina, Ugo Bertelli and Tai-Reece Chisholm.

Tennant McVea takes over as head coach of the Monarchs from long-time coach Alan Dawson who retired at the end of the 2023 season. He had served on the staff for seven years, including being on the Conference USA winning staff in 2014.
