NORFOLK, Va. – The United Soccer Coaches Association announced its 2023-24 Team Academic Award on Thursday and the Old Dominion women’s soccer team earned the award.
This marks the fourth time under head coach Angie Hind that the Monarchs were recognized and the sixth time in program history. For the 2023-24 academic year, the Monarchs sported a 3.58 GPA and was one of 237 women’s teams to receive the award.
A total of 405 soccer teams (168 men, 237 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year. Of that total, 102 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
The Monarchs will host George Washington in an exhibition game on August 11 at 1 p.m. at the ODU Soccer Stadium.
